This is especially important for dark surfaces, where the undercoat is essential. For highly porous surfaces, we recommend applying two coats of undercoat. This prevents discolouration, reduces the absorption of the surface and ensures an even finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSurface preparation:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, porous, and free from wax and grease.\u003cbr\u003e• In a wet room, check the surface for smoothness and remove sharp points by lightly sanding. Sharp points are not covered properly, which can allow water to penetrate.\u003cbr\u003e• If the coating is applied over recently applied wall finishes, always follow the manufacturer's drying advice. Ensure the wall finish is fully cured before it is treated with Mineral Finish. Pour the base paint into a separate bucket to prevent spills. Shake the hardener until it is thin and liquid. Add the hardener slowly while continuing to stir. Mix the entire mixture mechanically for at least 2 minutes until it is homogeneous.
