AZET PICTORMAT
Azet Pictormat is a water-based wall paint based on a silylated acrylic dispersion. Once applied to the substrate, it forms a weather-resistant silicone resin. A special feature of this wall paint is its highly hydrophobic (water-repellent) nature, while the paint layer is highly vapour-permeable. The unique combination of binders ensures that the wall paint absorbs almost no moisture and allows moisture in the substrate to evaporate, resulting in three unique product benefits that are characteristic of Azet Pictormat.
1. The facade barely gets wet and therefore dries very quickly after a rain shower, so that algae, moss and fungi have almost no chance of developing.
2. Facades treated with Azet Pictormat stay clean for longer. The special surface texture of the wall paint ensures that dirt particles and water droplets hardly adhere to the facade. Raindrops roll like pearls down the facade and take the dirt particles with them.
3. Another benefit of the breathable and water-repellent nature of the wall paint is that “peeling” due to moisture under the paint layer almost never occurs.
Azet Pictormat is also alkali-resistant, UV-resistant, low-stress, and has a high opacity.
Application
Azet Pictormat is applied outdoors to substrates where a matte and breathable finish is desired that keeps the substrate dry and clean. Substrates that are suitable for treatment with this wall paint include: concrete, masonry, old silicate and dispersion wall paint layers, synthetic resin decorative plasters, etc. The special properties of this product are optimally demonstrated, especially on the rain-facing side. Indoors, Pictormat is used in places where high vapour permeability of the wall paint is important, for example in basements. Azet Pictormat must not be applied to elastic and/or highly thermoplastic substrates such as crack-bridging paint systems.
Preparation
• Completely remove loose parts and blisters.
• Wash powdery, dirty and greasy substrates with Azet Expo.
• Perform necessary repairs and allow them to dry thoroughly.
• First apply a coat of Azet Grondering W to highly absorbent and/or powdery substrates and repair areas.
Application
Azet Pictormat is applied to a dry and clean substrate. Apply two coats of Pictormat with a drying time of at least 12 hours between the two coats. If the temperature is low and the humidity is high, you should allow for a considerably longer drying time.
