AZET OPAQUE UNDERCOAT

Azet Opaque Undercoat is a pigmented undercoat based on a very finely dispersed acrylic binder. The undercoat reduces the absorption of the substrate and contributes to the coverage. Azet Opaque Undercoat provides improved adhesion and a more even drying of the topcoat.

Application
Azet Opaque Undercoat is applied indoors to slightly absorbent substrates. The high-quality binder provides excellent penetration into the substrate, making this product an excellent base for finishing with one of the Azet wall paints. Recommended system on a clean and dry substrate: 1 x coat of Azet Opaque Undercoat followed by a coat of one of the Azet wall paints. To finish in one coat, the colour of the Opaque Undercoat must match the colour of the topcoat.

Preparation
• Remove all loose parts.
• Dust off.
• Clean and degrease the substrate

Application
Azet Opaque Undercoat is applied to a dry substrate. Stir the product well before use. Apply with a nap roller or
Airless spray equipment; optionally with air assistance. After application, ensure sufficient ventilation to promote drying.

Alternative advice
In the following cases, we recommend Azet W Primer instead of Azet Opaque Undercoat
• For highly absorbent and/or slightly chalking substrates.
• For finishing in dark colours. In these cases, it is necessary to finish the W Primer with two coats of Azet wall paint.

Technical data
• Application conditions: ambient and substrate temperature at least 7°C / R.H. < 85% moisture content in the substrate maximum < 4%
ventilate after application (excessively long drying time can be harmful to the substrate and this product).
• Dilution: up to 5% with clean water
• Application tools: brush, nap roller, Airless spray equipment; optionally with air assistance (spray tip 0.019”)
• Coverage: 6-8 m² per litre
• Overcoating: after 12 hours

Practical information
• Tool cleaning: with (warm water) immediately after use.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry and frost-free place.
• Shelf life: at least 1 year in the unopened original packaging.
• Packaging: 5 and 10 litre buckets
• Colour: available in white and light colours from white
