BRILLUX Glemalux 1000

The BRILLUX Glemalux 1000 is a high-quality matt wall and ceiling paint for interior use. Thanks to its excellent opacity, this paint is particularly suitable for renovation work, where usually only one coat of paint is required. It also provides a beautiful and uniform finish on large surfaces and under critical grazing light.

The BRILLUX Glemalux 1000 is free from preservatives, solvents and plasticizers, low-emission and very easy to apply. The long open time contributes to a smooth surface appearance and reduces the chance of visible lap marks.

Excellent opacity

The BRILLUX Glemalux 1000 has H10 class 1 opacity at 8 m²/l. This means the paint has very high opacity and is extremely suitable for overpainting and renovating existing wall and ceiling surfaces.

Thanks to this high opacity, an excellent finish can be achieved in many situations with less labour and material.

Matt and scrub-resistant

The BRILLUX Glemalux 1000 has a matt gloss level G4 and scrub resistance class R 1 according to EN 13300. This means the paint combines a smooth matt appearance with a washable and durable surface.

The paint is also highly vapour-permeable. The Sd value is less than 0.1 metres, which corresponds to class V1 according to DIN EN 1062-1.

Depending on the condition, suction and load-bearing capacity of the substrate, a suitable BRILLUX primer or bonding primer may be required beforehand.

Application

The BRILLUX Glemalux 1000 is intended for high-quality ceiling and wall finishes indoors. The paint is highly suitable for homes, offices, shops, commercial buildings and other spaces where a neat and professional finish is desired.

Thanks to its excellent opacity, the paint is particularly interesting for renovation work. In addition, the long open time makes the BRILLUX Glemalux 1000 highly suitable for larger surfaces and spaces where grazing light can quickly reveal any lap marks.

Application

The BRILLUX Glemalux 1000 can be applied with a brush, roller or airless spray equipment. Application using a low-mist airless method is also possible.

If necessary, the paint can be slightly thinned with water, especially for low-build finishes on smooth substrates such as smooth non-woven wallpaper.

The coverage is approximately 120-140 ml/m² per coat. The exact coverage depends on the substrate and application method.

The BRILLUX Glemalux 1000 must not be applied at an air or object temperature lower than +5 °C. Clean tools immediately with water after use.

At approximately 20 °C and 65% relative humidity, the paint is surface-dry after approximately 4 to 6 hours and can be further finished.
