GIGA PAINT AQUA 2K TOPCOAT

Aqua 2K Topcoat is a high-quality, water-based polyurethane coating. It is highly suitable as a hygienic wall and floor finish. The coating is highly abrasion-resistant, non-yellowing, easy to clean, weather-resistant, chemical-resistant and resistant to plasticizers. This also makes it highly suitable for finishing garage floors.

Heavily used floors, steel structures, doors, handrails, tables and worktops, impact-resistant wall finishes, etc.

THEORETICAL YIELD:
- Approx. 7m² per liter (depending on substrate)

APPLICATION:
Use a brush for water-based paint or a roller with thick, 2K-suitable nylon pile.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Add component B to component A and mix intensively mechanically for 3 minutes
    with a mixing paddle on an electric mixer or drill. Use a
    low speed.
2. Pour into a clean container and mix briefly again.
3. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes (induction time)
4. Add any anti-slip additives and mix again.

* avoid mixing for too long or too quickly to minimize air entrapment.

POT LIFE:
Use a brush for water-based paint or a roller with thick, 2K-suitable nylon pile.

DRYING TIME:
At 20°C and 50% RH:

- Dust dry after approx. 1.5 hours.
- Tack-free after approx. 4 hours.
- Overcoatable after approx. 24 hours.

SUBSTRATE QUALITY:

• The substrate must not contain loose or weak parts.
• Minimum substrate compressive strength; 25 N/mm2.
• Minimum substrate adhesion tensile strength; 1.5 N/mm2.

APPLICATION TEMPERATURE:
- Substrate temp.: min. 5°C
- Ambient temp.: min. 5°C

MOISTURE CONTENT:

• The substrate must not contain more than 4% moisture. For gypsum-bound
    substrates, a maximum of 1%.
  - Relative humidity maximum 80%. Watch out for condensation!
  - The temperature of the substrate and the uncured material must be at least
• 3 °C above the dew point.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
- The substrate must be clean, dry, grease-free and structurally sound.
- If there is any doubt about adhesion, this must always be determined beforehand by testing.
  - Do not apply over 1K vinyl or chlorinated rubber coating.

NOTE:

- For water-based products in general, it applies that they dry
  relatively quickly.
- High temperatures or significant air movement (heater or draft) significantly accelerate the
  drying process and can result in lap marks or visible
  lap marks.
- Furthermore, a water-based product should always be applied generously to promote
  flow.
- During drying and curing, ensure good and sufficient ventilation.
