The RAPTOR Engine Enamel Primer is a high-quality primer specially developed as an undercoat for RAPTOR Engine Enamel. Thanks to its excellent heat resistance of up to 300°C, this primer provides durable protection against rust, corrosion and harmful chemicals. Ideal for engine blocks, parts and other surfaces in the engine compartment that must perform under extreme conditions.

Application – Step by step

1. Preparation: Carefully clean and degrease the surface. Protect areas that should not be treated.
2. Sanding: Use P180–P220 sandpaper on bare metal and clean the surface again.
3. Shaking & spraying: Shake the spray can for at least 2 minutes. Apply 2–3 thin coats from a distance of approx. 25 cm, allowing 5–10 minutes drying time between coats.
4. Drying & topcoating: Allow the primer to dry for 1 hour. Lightly sand with P400–P600 before applying the topcoat.
   
5. Dry: Touch dry within 30 minutes, ready for topcoating after 1 hour.

Substrates
Suitable for steel, aluminium and galvanised metal.

Number of coats
For optimal protection, we recommend 2–3 thin coats.

Cleaning the spray can
Hold the spray can upside down and spray until only propellant comes out. This prevents clogging.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 50°C.
