Trae Lyx 1K Parquet Lacquer Ultra-Matte Intense

Trae Lyx Parketlak Ultra Mat Intens belongs to a new generation of 1K coatings, distinguished by excellent wear resistance and chemical resistance. Thanks to these special properties, Trae Lyx Parketlak Ultra Mat Intens is exceptionally suitable for finishing, among other things, parquet floors, other wooden floors, and woodwork. 

Trae Lyx Parketlak Ultra Mat Intens is clear, crystal clear, and ultra matte. Thanks to its unique composition, it gives the wood a warmer appearance and creates an oiled look.

Trae Lyx Parketlak Ultra Mat Intens is virtually odorless and contains practically no solvents.

Application

Suitable for indoor use only. Can be applied to light, dark, and coloured floors made of hardwood.

Theoretical coverage: 10 – 12 m²/ltr per coat (depending on wood type)
Recoatable: After approx. 2 – 3 hours
Lightly trafficable: After approx. 12 – 16 hours
Fully cured: After 7 days
Packaging: 750 ml and 2.5 litres
Storage: Store in a cool, frost-free place in a well-sealed, original container.
Shelf life in the container: 24 months at a temperature between 5°C and 25°C, in the original unopened container

Application details

Application method: Microfibre roller (100 mu) or brush
Type of thinning: Ready to use with a brush or roller.
Thinning percentage: Do not thin
Recommended dry film thickness: 100 – 120 microns
Coating build-up: apply at least 3 coats
Application conditions: Minimum 10°C and max. 80% R.H.
Ensure sufficient ventilation (no drafts) during the application and drying of the varnish.

General treatment

• The substrate must be clean, dry, free of grease and wax.
• If old layers are intact, degrease and sand them well.
• Stir well before use.
• Preferably apply to new wood or wood treated with water-based varnish.
• Cleaning tools: With plenty of water

Advice:

• We recommend applying Trae Lyx Grondlak to bare wood as a first coat to isolate the extractives found in, among others, oak and beech.
• Do not apply to old moisture-curing PU varnish layers.
• On unknown substrates, make a test application beforehand.
• After the first coat, lightly sand (P180) if necessary to remove raised wood fibres.
• The best result is obtained with a sufficient film thickness, i.e. treat no more than 10 – 12 m² per coat per litre of Trae Lyx Parketlak Ultra Mat Intens.
• Apply Trae Lyx Parketlak Ultra Mat Intens in at least 3 coats using a 7 – 9 mm microfibre (100 mu) roller or brush.
• The different coats can be applied with an intermediate drying time of 2 to 3 hours at 20°C.
• Recoatable and trafficable after 2 – 3 hours, fully cured and load-bearing after 7 days.
• Floors treated with Trae Lyx varnish should always be maintained with Trae Lyx Maintenance Product.
