WIJZONOL 4SO UNDERCOAT

Wijzonol 4SO Undercoat is a universal, filling, durable outdoor, all-season (recoat) undercoat and primer coat based on alkyd resin.

What is it used for?
As an “all-season” undercoat on wood and over undercoat or as a primer coat on pretreated wood, metal and plastic.

The filling properties of the undercoat provide a good base that, in combination with Wijzonol 4SO High Gloss, delivers a smooth, flowing finish.

Application

– Thinning: Ready to use; if necessary, thin sparingly with water.
Stir well before use and do not thin more than necessary.
– Application: Brush, roller, airless sprayer
A paint roller provides a beautiful finish on large surfaces.
– Cleaning tools/equipment: Turpentine
– Application temperature/relative humidity: 0 °C ambient and substrate temperature, max. 90% relative humidity.
– Check the product and colour before use.
– Store in a cool, frost-free place.

– Binder: Alkyd resin
– Pigment: High-quality pigments
– Density at 20 °C: Approx. 1.30 kg/dm3
– Viscosity at 20 °C: Approx. 95 K.U.
– Solids: Approx. 63% by volume
– Film thickness: 40 micrometres dry film thickness (= approx. 64 micrometres wet film thickness)
– Drying time: Drying time (20 °C / 65% relative humidity):
Dust dry after approx. 1 hour;
Tack-free after approx. 3 hours;
Recoatable after approx. 16 hours;
The stated drying times are averages and depend, among other factors, on the temperature and relative humidity.
– Gloss level: Satin finish
– Theoretical coverage: 16 m²/l

Storage and use
– Storage: Store in a cool, frost-free place. The quality of the product must not deteriorate during storage.
– Maximum shelf life: Use within 24 months of the batch number stated on the packaging (digits 1 and 2 = year, digits 3 and 4 = week). Assuming an unopened package.
