WIJZONOL UNI PRIMER

The Wijzonol Uni Primer is a fast-drying, corrosion-resistant universal primer based on alkyd resin.

What is it used for?
Exterior
It is used as a universal primer in various Wijzonol systems on metals (formed by oxidation products) and plastics. Also suitable for wood and stone-like sheet material.

Available colours & packaging
Colours: White, other colours via the Wijzonol ALK colour mixing system.
Packaging: 0.5L - 1L - 2.5L

Application

– Thinning: Ready to use, if necessary thin sparingly with turpentine or white spirit.
Stir well before use and do not thin more than necessary.
– Application: Brush, roller, air spray, Airmix
A paint roller gives a nice result on large surfaces.
– Cleaning tools/equipment: Turpentine
– Application temperature/relative humidity: Min. 5 °C ambient and substrate temperature, max. 85% relative humidity
– Check product and colour before use.
– Store in a cool, frost-free place.

Clean, degrease, sand and dust the surface to be treated. Do not apply to a damp surface or under damp conditions.

– Binder: Alkyd resin
– Pigment: Zinc phosphate (filler) and high-quality pigments
– Density at 20 °C: Approx. 1.21 kg/dm3
– Viscosity at 20 °C: Approx. 93 K.U.
– Solids: Approx. 44% by volume
– Film thickness: 35 micrometres dry film thickness (= approx. 80 micrometres wet film thickness)
– Drying time: Drying time (20 °C / 65% relative humidity):
Touch dry after approx. 0.5 hours;
Overcoatable after approx. 5 hours;
The stated drying times are averages and depend on factors such as temperature and relative humidity.
– Gloss level: Satin finish
– Theoretical coverage: 12.6 m²/l

Storage and use
- Storage: Store in a cool, frost-free place. The quality of the product must not deteriorate during storage.
- Maximum shelf life: Use within 24 months of the batch number stated on the packaging (digits 1 and 2 = year, digits 3 and 4 = week). Based on an unopened package.
